Live Arrivals Guarantee: We guarantee live arrival unless there is a shipping delay. That is out of our control. If there is a delay resulting in DOA store credit of 50% for the DOA will be issued. It is our job to send out happy healthy fish and ship them in the best manner possible. All fish will be shipped double-bagged and put into styrofoam insulated boxes with heating packs if needed to insure their safety.

Shipping cargo with SW Airlines is always preferred so if you live near a major airport please reach out to me to arrange this. Cargo fees are paid to the airport at time of pickup not to me. During winter months next day air UPS shipping and cargo with SW are the only options. When weather is permitting, UPS 2-day air is possible for orders under $150. DOA will not be honored if the shipment was not received on the first delivery attempt or if it has to be held for pickup. It is your responsibility to watch for tracking and make sure you are available at time of delivery. Additionally, the shipment must be opened within one hour of its arrival.

Delivery times will be referenced on the tracking timestamp. An unboxing video must be taken upon arrival. Should you receive a DOA it must remain in the original bags. All fish must be floated for 20 minutes in the tank or tanks unopened, including the DOA and then an additional video must be made. Fading from shipping stress is completely normal. As soon as the fish are released into the water all responsibilities on my behalf are void. It is up to you to provide the proper care including proper water conditions, temperature, food etc. I will not be held responsible for sudden death, disease or anything of that sort upon releasing the fish into your water. If all information requested by this policy is provided (videos, etc.) and you have a DOA, store credit will be issued that must be used within 90 days. Shipping is nonrefundable.

Sex is not guaranteed unless I have physically seen eggs or milt. In which case I will state in the description.

All fish have undergone extremely strict preventative treatments for external parasites, bacteria and fungi and for internal parasites and bacteria. All fish are with me for 30 days minimum before offering. If by some chance I do see illness present during their first 30 days past what the preventative treatments take care of I will dig deeper into it and their 30-day clock starts over starting from the point they are symptom free.

Treatment series every fish undergoes include:
*0.5% salinity for 1 week

*Doxycycline + Erythromycin OR kanamycin depending on what I’m seeing etc.
*Baytril (ran separately from other antibiotics)

It is my job to ensure that I’m sending out fish in perfect condition and not just “looking healthy”. You simply cannot guarantee that fish aren’t harboring something unless you treat them for it, ensuring it’s not “hiding”. Treatments when administered properly do NOT harm the fish yet ensure a long and healthy future.
